Supercelebrity Nadja Swarovski & Supermodel Nadja Auermann

I am huge fan of both these woman!! Not only does the name "NADJA" evoke superstar, but also their lives are equally as fascinating.  Here are some things about them that you may or may not already know.

• Was born in Wattens, Tyrol Austria, 1970. 
  
• Has blond hair and blue eyes 
  
• Currently lives in London with her husband Rupert Adams and three children, Rigby, Thalia, and Jasmine.
•  Is President and chairman of the board of directors of D. Swarovski & Co.     
• Studied art history and gemology and worked in New York in the art and fashion PR worlds.
• Joined her father’s company in 1995, convincing him to take over its “fashion arm” and concentrate on branding and communication.
  
• Has changed the perception of the brand by collaborating with artists and designers i.e Alexander McQueen, Tord Boontje, and Zaha Hadid.
  
• Established  “Runway Rocks”, an event where designers are asked to create a crystal masterpiece of catwalk jewelry.
•   Created the Crystal Palace shows where she commissions artists to come up with a crystal reinterpretation of the traditional chandelier.
  
• Is hosting on September 20, 2010 at Philips New York Gallery, “22 Ways to Say Black”, an auction where 22 black dresses created by fashion’s leading designers incorporating “Swarovski Elements” will be sold to benefit the American Cancer Society and La Ligue Nationale Contre le Cancer.

• Was born in West Berlin, Germany March 19, 1971.
• Has blond hair and blue eyes.   
  
• Is a Supermodel and Actress.
  
• Obtained her first big break when she moved to Paris working with Ellen von Unwerth for British Vogue.
• Landed the covers of both Vogue and Harper’s Bazaar in the same month, Sept. 1994.
• Appeared in countless magazine editorials by Lindbergh, Meisel, Avedon, Newton, von Unwerth, Demarchelier, Penn, Testino, Knight, Sorrenti, and Mondino to name a few. 
  
• Also appeared in George Michael’s “Too Funky” video, opposite fellow supermodels.
• Won the Guiness title of “Model with the Lonest Legs” (44”) in 1997 and 1999.
  
• Walked the catwalk as a sexy nurse in Louis Vuitton’s Spring 2008 collection inspired by Richard Prince. 
  

I have not met either of these two glamazons.....YET.  I would love to attend the "22 Ways to Say Black" Auction as well as see a revival of the Supermodels here in NY at upcoming fashion week, which is just around the corner......stay tuned. :)
